Monday brought lots of surprises in our insect habitats!! Bigger milkweed bugs, darkling beetles & 9 butterflies!!!

The release of butterflies is always bittersweet for students. However, it’s usually always followed by great enjoyment as the butterflies tend to stick around a little longer letting the students get a chance to hold them. 🦋

To connect with the text ‘I Am Helen Keller’ students wrote out words on peers backs and had them guess the word. Similar to how Helen Keller learned words in the palm of her hand!
