Finding joy in this virtual learning thing by giggling & yoga-ing with my sweet kiddos.

Transitioning from a break is always hard for me no matter how much i love what I do. Anxiety is something I experience, therefore it’s something that can be experienced. It’s okay not to be okay.

The reminder I’m needing through the trials & triumphs of this school year.

A few months ago, one of my kiddos unexpectedly switched schools & we never got to say goodbye. I was able to connect with his new SPED teacher and set up an official time to chat today! Hearing how he is liking his new school made cheeks hurt from smiling & my heart so full.❤️

Teachers should NOT have to cover another class during their planning. This has been one of the biggest exploitation of teachers planning. Realistically, if they don't have planning time, when do you expect them to plan? and if they cover then they should be paid for coverage.

I strongly believe teacher mental health would be vastly improved if all months of the year had had at least one 3-day long weekend. Oh, and also if we could get vaccinated, but one can only dream so big.🤷🏼‍♀️

Tiny gifts from tiny humans hold the biggest place in my heart.

Teacher evaluations should be admin asking teachers how they are doing and how did they do so amazing during the pandemic and then take notes to learn from the teachers.

I ❤️ when my kiddos invite me to join part in things that are special to them! This student’s mom received a grant to paint with the children at Autism Companion Services. He is a virtual learner, so today was the 1st time I’ve seen him in person in OVER a year!!

In a great classroom, the students aren’t the only learners. The TEACHER is a learner also. When teachers are curious, when they are vulnerable, when they continue to grow… they provide stronger instruction, and they provide a great example to their students.
