After reading “A Christmas Carol” play, students showed their character analysis through body biographies! Highly recommend these from Study All Knight !! Such an engaging and thought provoking activity.

What do you do on the Wednesday before winter break? Why, a book tasting, of course! To get middle schoolers to be this silent three days before break is a miracle.. must have been some good books! ☺️📚

As an opener to our #amplifyela unit for 7C Brain Science, we made brain hats to map out the parts and functions our brain performs and what functions would be impacted if that part of the brain were injured. They turned out awesome (and useful)!

Which brain theory had the better evidentiary support? Students traced the argument for both whole brainers and localizers using a giant brain poster and then evaluated that evidence through analysis writing. It was a tough lesson but they did well! Amplify

Sharing out the narrator’s perspective of the Tell-Tale Heart using the Tell-Tale Art app on Amplify today! Kids connected through their laptops to present and explain their storyboards!

Before gathering evidence, the majority of our students thought the narrator was insane. But after looking at the evidence, many of them changed their mind today! Can’t wait to see their arguments.
