I like this message....We need to prepare students for their future ..not our past.... If we view education in exactly the same way we did 10 years ago, we’re not doing what kids need.

We have been learning about Advent at St. Joseph School - Fullerton and are making a kindness Advent wreath. Each leaf is an act of kindness done by a student. This wreath reminds us to be as kind as Jesus was. ❤️🎄

What matters isn’t how well a teacher holds students’ attention; it's whether a teacher knows enough about how learning happens to stop being the center of attention.

I saw one of my soon to be students in Target last week and while I was talking to his mom, he tapped my belly and said “I can see that you really do have a baby in there.” Year 6 of teaching Kindergarten and 6.5 months pregnant never looked so good! 😂🙄

15 YEARS AGO….. Teaching was challenging, somewhat supportive and yet sustainable. CURRENTLY….. Schools are set up for failure. Teaching is now unmanageable, full of disrespect, and unsustainable.
