Today to warp up our acceptance theme for morning meetings this month we did my favorite anti-bullying activity! It helps visually show that anything you say to someone changes who they are forever! So these will hang as our reminder to treat each other with kindness!

This picture might stress some teachers. Well this picture couldn’t make me more proud! One of their classmates was struggling and they all teamed up to help him! If I can say I’ve taught these 8th graders anything, it’s how to have empathy for others and be a kind person! 😭💕

MM today was so fun! We all sat together at a table, then we drew our ghosts as the person to our left! We made sure to highlight features that are unique and special to that person, then when we were done, we shared some things about the person that make them one of a kind! 👻🧡

On Sports team spirit day (sponsored by Eastern York Middle School Student Council ) we had fun in morning meeting working on the “helium stick” activity and discussing what it takes to be an effective team! #eyms

What a better and more festive way to practice the sentences and clauses that we’ve been learning about than sentence type turkeys! My eighth graders were so excited for the change of pace and to be able to do something hands-on and a little fun. #eyms #EYKnightsLearn #EYedge
