Some VP trivia: This is the 29th tie breaking vote cast by Vice President Harris in her role as President of the Senate. She is now tied with Vice President John Adams with the 2nd highest number of tie breaking votes in history (Calhoun is highest with 31).

That’s a wrap for the 2023 Governor’s Cup season! Congratulations to our Boyle County Middle School Future Problem Solving Team, who placed 6th overall at the 2023 State Governor’s Cup finals! And congratulations to Ellis Croshaw, who placed 10th overall in the General Knowledge exam!

The last quiz bowl meet of the 22-23 school year is in the books! Members of our Boyle County Middle School quiz bowl team competed today in Kentucky State Quiz Bowl Tournament and are walking away pool champions!

Rare to see such impressive gains as these: AP World History teachers expanded access to ~40,000 more students, and scores increased significantly – with an especially large jump in the % of 5s. As a result, 36,000 more students earned scores of 3+ this year than last!

Congratulations to our Boyle County Middle School Academic Team for winning the District Championship for the 4th year in a row! And our Future Problem Solving team was named District Champion for the 6th year in a row! Our team won the championship title in 4 content assessment categories!

Congratulations to our Boyle County Middle School Academic Team FPS on being 4-peat Region Governor’s Cup Champions and to the five individual students who placed in their content areas! They’ll all be advancing to the state competition in March.

Congrats to our Boyle County Middle School Future Problem Solving Team for placing 5th overall at the KAAC State Governor’s Cup finals—our school’s third time on stage in three years! They’ve secured a spot to FPSPI IC. And thanks Governor Andy Beshear for always showing up to hand out awards!
