A complete and total shambles Sir Gavin Williamson CBE MP. How have you let trust be eroded so much between the education system and those responsible for the DfE. HT only ever want the best for their kids. Such a failure for children, families and schools. #schoolclosures Paul Whiteman

Leadership is not about power, demanding or threats. It is about recognising the privilege of your position and ensuring that everything you do shows you deserve to be the leader. Currently headteachers are showing leadership and govt ministers are receiving the lesson.

All political opinion aside, this has been one of the most disgraceful failures of leadership that any of us have ever had the misfortune to endure.

Schools are expected to provide 3-5 hours of teaching a day during period of remote learning, says Education Secretary Gavin Williamson Ofsted will inspect schools "where it has serious concerns about the quality of remote education being provided" bbc.in/2JS1ihC

So now it's gone to upto 5 hours online, anyone without a 'quiet space' can attend, schools can be reported to Ofsted about remote learning and so on. This government is being completely childish chucking their toys because a virus didn't let them get their own way. Pathetic.

As a number of people have said asking parents to tell tales to ofsted in the middle of a global pandemic is akin to Matt Hancock handing out complaint forms in a hospital waiting room. He hasn’t done it and neither should gavin Williamson. We’re all on the same side here.

This is a National scandal Paul Whiteman Gov playing dirty tactics.Schools who only offer Nur places to critical workers will not get funding from the census next Thursday. Totally bullying schools to get their own way. Simply a kick in the teeth to our profession from the gov.

I have a mate who's a bit on the anti vax spectrum and she was saying that she doesn't know what's in it. I asked what what's in her lip filler. She wasn't sure.

Brilliant analysis by Maxim Kelly 🇮🇲 A comparison of high stakes Ofsted inspections vs. government accountability - what happens to school leaders post-inspection vs. what (should) happen(ed) to Boris Johnson following the publication of Sue Gray’s report manxmaxim.com/2022/02/07/sue…
