Ambitions for the rest of the year: As I took my lovely wife on a long weekend break recently, my ambition is to explain how the round thing works! Mr Hugh’s made with LOVE 💛

Wife is happily setting up a small holding (“does she know what I do for a day job?” I ask myself in moments of silence) which includes lettuce and chickens. Mr Hugh’s made with LOVE 💛

“Jacquelina’s Patch” as, due to the food crisis currently going on in England, my lovely wife is all about growing her own. She even took a study trip to Sweden recently. Our chickens, bought for egg production, have failed miserably but I’m assured, look pretty !💛

It will teach me to be enthusiastic about harvest as previous to this week it has not stopped raining. 200% of normal rainfall and 2 ⁰c below normal temperature. The shepherd fibbed about ‘red sky at night’! 💛

The food crisis is over. Prudence, for each chicken now has a name and are sung to each morning, has delivered!! 💛

The first thing to report is that I’ve been away on holiday with my lovely wife. We went to London for a couple of nights – see what they call tea, in that part of the world.💛

“Jacqueline’s Patch” - We have pumpkins for sale, lots. Even the chickens have been given one which, according to the “Dummies Guide to keeping chickens”, they should peck at as a nutritional bonus. Chickens can’t read.💛💛💛
