I have heard it said, if they dont praise you show up & work anyway, or if they criticize/don't appreciate you show up & do the work anyway. I get being self driven and never giving up, but why should anyone have to work like this.Effective leaders encourage, praise, & appreciate

Admin, take time to: *Say hello to staff & students in the hall * Check on teachers, especially life events they’re dealing with * Sit in on classes & leave note * Occasionally sub *Show staff you appreciate them * Ask what staff needs to succeed * Encourage * Say Thank you

Effective teachers don't center their approach on rules, but rather on relationships, routines, & expectations. Prioritizing these over rules means spending less time enforcing them. When you invest in relationships, routines, & expectations, rule enforcement becomes less needed
