It's only Wednesday and we have already clocked up over 2400 active miles this week! That's means we have reached Santa in lapland🎅🎉 but the challenge isn't over- keeping, walking or cycling or scooting to school this week and we can try to achieve the highest school total!

Linking our Art to Chinese New Year, P5 have listened to The Fable of the Two Doves - the story behind willow pattern crockery! They have begun to create their own willow pattern plates showing excellent attention to detail. Primary 5A, @Mrs_JamiesonCPS

Today P5 researched about the changes in toys, transport and houses that have occurred since the 1200s. The class have used their research to create a timeline! 😃

In our technology lesson, the class used visual programming to complete games. The games included giving BB-8 from Star Wars directions to collect scrap mental and Moana to collect fish 😃💻

As part of our outdoor learning lesson, P5 were given 3 items which they had to make into a story. The class used chalk to take notes and then performed their story 😀 #mondaymania

P5 designed a coat of arms as part of their class topic “The Scottish wars of independence”. After creating their coat of arms they used watercolours and wrote down the reasons for their design choices 😃

For todays outdoor lesson, P5 created detailed drawings of the forest. Once finished, the class had to describe their drawings using adjectives and similes #mondaymania #outdoorlearning

P5 learned about factors and multiples. They completed the work by using their own tables to write on!

This term the class topic is “the wars of independence”. Today P5 learned about the life of King Alexander 3. As part of the lesson, the class performed “freeze frames” of different parts of Alexander’s life 😀

Today P5 learned about air resistance by making parachutes using different materials. P5 measured the impact using different materials had on the length of time it took to drop to the floor

Today P5 measured different objects in the forrest. They recorded their results in cm and mm 😁

We are super proud of all of our P4 and P5 stars after their amazing performances yesterday!🌟 The children put in a lot of hard work and effort to make it the huge success that it was. We hope you all enjoyed watching them shine!🎤🎶🎭
