Jn4:27 - Jesus surprises us by to whom and how he ministers. The disciples marvelled, but they didn't question him. Our thinking is also often orthogonal to his, we should learn from this, and look for opportunities to do things following his example.

Jn4:29 - miracles sow the seeds of faith. Instead of doubting, look for God's handiwork. Tell others of what he has done and let your own faith by strengthened.

Jn 4:35 - we often think that the time to serve God is somewhere in the future, but often the opportunity is right in front of us! Let's lift up our eyes and ask God to show us how we can serve him where we are.

Jn 4:37-38 God call us to do different jobs at different times. They're all important. You get to build on what others have done, and what you do might feed into someone else's ministry. But whatever you've been led to do, just do it the best you can for the glory of God!

A Christianity that gets you into Heaven, while also allowing you to continue living however you want here on earth… is a Christianity that’s foreign to the New Testament. The Gospel changes who we ARE, then it also changes what you DO. It changes your IDENTITY & your ACTIVITY!

Today I was so helped by someone who spoke into my life with words of encouragement, support, and wisdom. So if you believe God is leading you to speak into someone’s life to bless them - you should do it. Don’t hold back. That’s the body of Christ in action.

🔥Eugene Peterson: “The pastors of America have metamorphosed into a company of shopkeepers…preoccupied with how to keep the customers happy, how to lure customers away from competitors down the street, how to package the goods so that the customers will lay out more money.”

Reading Gal5:1-6 today. There’s a choice: try & keep *all* the law & Christ will be of no advantage to you. Or accept God’s grace thru faith in Christ as your righteousness & eagerly await his return. You can’t have a bit of both. Live a perfect life (impossible) or accept grace.
