My mom, friends and family are celebrating 2020 today by planting 20 trees on the family farm. Happy New Year, everyone.

Just so you know, most of the trash collected in SF is not from city trashcans, it is from households. Dept of the Environment records show that city receptacles account for 1% of trash SF generates. Adding a can to every corner doesn’t address the root causes of our trash issue

Tough love has shown to be effective to get the city cleaner, to achieve great results we must work together to understand the constraints and address the concerns; one ride one night is just the beginning.

24/7 street cleaning services/fines up to $1000’s+w/liens for nonpayment/sensors installed on cans 2 determine where 2 direct additional services or cans/pilots of can designs&stewardship to test best practices-the goal is to improve street cleanliness; the ways constantly evolve

This makes us feel good about our future. Pitching in, whether to feed the hungry, save a koala from a wildfire, visit folks in nursing homes or beautify our neighborhoods, makes a positive difference. Thank you to all volunteers, young, old and in between. #LoveOurCity
