Spent the morning creating some hand lettered NSW foundation fonts, among other things… which means I can make as many customised handwriting practice sheets as I want! #AussieEd

Module 2 of #HALT accreditation (Highly Accomplished Teacher) in the bag! 29/37 standards achieved, 8 more to go for Module 3. Now waiting on confirmation of dates to invite an assessor in to review my classroom teaching for a day. #AussieEd

Really enjoyed showcasing my presentation of the impact I’ve achieved with students across all ability levels! Quite a crowd! It was funny to see all the cameras go up when I showed slides of lesson expectations and directions. A number of people had questions about it all after!

This week I had the opportunity to lead our school staff in analysing the National Literacy Learning Progressions, with a focus on Creating Texts. Staff appreciated the clarity I was able to provide around how to analyse a written text for understanding student needs. #AussieEd

Congrats to all the HALT teachers! My colleague and all round awesome teacher Rosalind Lim received her HALT medal at this year’s ceremony (she’s standing next to Murat Dizdar in the group photo). Ros has demonstrated exceptional teaching and leadership in the 8 years I’ve known her.

So the ramifications of the government’s social media ban are that we will all have to hand over identification data to online platforms (which get hacked) AND any student centred YouTube channels such as my own will be inaccessible for any students in Australia 🙄 #AussieEd
