In Auckland for the weekend - my last time here was end of Feb 2020, just before so much changed in the world. Slightly surreal as what I do day to day is so different, even while the core sources of meaning are the same (relationships, family, learning, building).

Back home in Melbourne and back to reality - including the pile of admin and emails I hadn’t attended to 😬 That said, the weekend away was magical and left me clearer-headed & with more energy, so it was worth it. Amazing how healing happens even when you don’t notice it.

I saw a woman today and she looked just like the Toni Colette’s character in Knives Out - outfit, cocked head, non functional hat. Then I worried that I was being Judgy McJudgy of a stranger just because she’s dressed like an unpleasant fictional character.

One practice we have as a team Alyte is full team discussion on major decisions. Good session today and I’m grateful for the thoughtful input, perspectives and ideas on a challenging topic.

Watched the Shania Twain doco tonight - hubby recommended, and watched a second time. Seriously impressed by her talent in so many areas, vision, confidence and grit.

I'm sad to share the news that we've reached the end of our journey Alyte. It has been an incredible couple of years, and I am so proud of the team and what we have built. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and most of all to the amazing team I got to work with.

Fab dinner last night in Sydney with a small group of senior women in tech - great conversation, inspiring women, and a lot of fun. Thanks Róisín Ryan 🇦🇺🇺🇸 for organising!

The food in Australia is so good, I don’t miss much from the US. But I do miss the diner. Tonight in LA: meatloaf, at the counter. Perfect.
