Good morning to all TopTweetTuesday . Thanks so much to marcelle newbold poems for hosting and as always to Matthew M C Smith for this space to air poems. I enjoyed the play with my poem ‘I feel your toes at my edge’ making a mini version. Will come back later to read everyone’s work.
Hi TopTweetTuesday marcelle newbold poems Matthew M C Smith My effort for today. For the uninitiated, St James’s is the home of Newcastle United. Don’t ask me how I got there but the champagne might explain it. Pic shows the goalposts
A big cheer Marcelle, esteemed marcelle newbold poems this week's TopTweetTuesday guest-host!! 🥳🎉Given this week's brief, the time of the year, & where I reside, it seems apt to write about AN ENGLISH SUMMER FATE. 80 word version on your left, 12 word micro-poem on your right.
mq hovey TopTweetTuesday marcelle newbold poems Kudos! This denizen came alive with vivid clarity 🙌🏻🫶🏻🤩
mq hovey marcelle newbold poems TopTweetTuesday Welcome back, Miles! Love the ‘lighthouse face’ & ‘sea-blue jacket’ as an opening. The ‘bare metal tarnished with its patina/of unseen things’ & those ‘Umbilical copper wires’ are precursors to the becoming alive in the final stanza, the shadowself and the person melding as one.
My post of today has not been retweeted TopTweetTuesday . I posted it around 5:30 pm. Hope it gets marcelle newbold poems . Link - x.com/rakhi7654/stat…

TopTweetTuesday Sue Finch (she/her) How far down must you dig for silence? Past the skitterings of insects, the churning of worms through mud. Part the bone layer, unquiet as the bodies are stripped, the marrow eaten up. Even a stone, deep beneath it all remembers birdsong.
Hello, dear Poets. Waking & sleeping, I worry about my original homeland & the state of the world. As a creative, I attempt to witness, document & make good trouble. Much gratitude to host sandra noel, Matthew M C Smith, Black Bough Poetry / Barddoniaeth Y Gangen Ddu, and each of you for holding this space.
