Congrats to Joe Castiglione on an incredible career! Your voice has been the #RedSoxNation soundtrack to New England summers, Cape Cod days, and every high and low of being a Sox fan. Thanks for all the memories and the passion you brought to every game.

Former Italy PM Mario Draghi makes a strong case in his recent report: costly, top-down regulations are dragging down EU innovation. It's mind-boggling that some US policymakers are still working to import a European regulatory model that even Europe concedes isn't working.

This post by Adam Thierer should be mandatory reading for the DOJ and FTC. Punishing NVIDIA for its success goes against the principles of American innovation and hands a 🎁 to the CCP. To stay ahead, we must champion, not undermine, our most groundbreaking companies.

Innovation thrives on societal stability and the rule of law. On #NationalConstitutionDay, it's crucial that all officeholders commit to accepting and certifying the results of the 2024 presidential election. Our democracy depends on it.

.Rep. John James on AM radio mandate: “What are we even doing here? We’re putting in an unfunded, unnecessary mandate for a problem that doesn’t even exist. This is exactly why people hate Washington. We are expanding the power of government - this is a terrible precedent to set” 🎯

🚨 Just a reminder that the US is the only democracy where radio broadcasters use music while paying zero to the artists. Please Congress: no more special favors to radio stations until they end this injustice and start compensating American musicians for their work.

The PREVAIL Act makes it harder for small and medium-sized businesses (80% of CTA’s members) to fight patent trolls and bogus lawsuits. We should be protecting innovators, not patent trolls. Congress, reject the PREVAIL Act. cdn.cta.tech/cta/media/medi…

Mixed news out of the House Energy & Commerce Committee. Good to see progress on the Telehealth Modernization Act—extending Medicare telehealth flexibilities is a win. While we still need a permanent solution, the extension is a step forward for crucial healthcare access. But

"FTC staff hours and resources that could have been spent protecting seniors in my state from scams were shifted to press releases and expanded rulemakings. Meanwhile, our consituents continue to be defrauded on a daily basis." - Gus Bilirakis at today's FTC hearing

“I have watched the growing European influence over the thinking of our admistration and regulatory agencies and I am very concerned...” Great point Shane Tews! Why are we copying a regulatory model that even the EU now admits isn’t working? (See the recent Mario Draghi report)

"If you ask the American. people about what the FTC has been doing, they say hooray, keep going!" Actually, survey after survey shows that voters say regulation of popular tech companies is a low priority, far below inflation, health care, immigration, and other key issues.

Thanks Rep. Tim Walberg for calling out the FTC's outrageous practice of collaborating with foreign economic rivals to hurt US companies. Look what happened when the FTC worked with the EU to block the iRobot deal - Chinese robot makers gained an edge, and we lost hundreds of US jobs

Lawmakers are right to express concern that these aggressive antitrust actions threaten to chill US innovation and economic interests. Congress should continue pushing the FTC to return to its original goal: protecting consumers.

Listen to expert Bob Goodlatte: By gutting the PTAB review process, PREVAIL will flood the market with low-quality patents and promote shakedown lawsuits. We should focus on protecting innovation, not helping patent trolls attack US small businesses and innovators.

Patent trolls are an innovation tax. Rolling back protections like IPR only helps trial lawyers and hurts entrepreneurs trying to build real businesses. The Senate needs to reject the PREVAIL Act and protect innovation, not patent troll shakedowns. We can't go back to that mess.
