🚨SCHOOL RECORD ALERT Junior Lucien Flores placed 2nd today (16:06.6) after breaking Chris Gobbell’s record that stood for 21 years! Our Boys placed 15th & Girls placed 18th out of 29 teams.

Way to go Lucien!!!!!! We are so proud of you. You have now and will continue set the bar for all Springfield HS runners. This is amazing on that course in this heat.

Just finished up an amazing weekend of US Dept Of Education #teach2lead summit. Built an amazing plan to try to recruit a workforce that mirrors our student population with SLS Assistant Superintendent and LUEducation topped it of at Civil Rights Museum. We must do better!!!!!

Today Dorr Music teacher Jennifer Gilbert Mercer came into my science ethics class to discuss her work on tracing her ancestry using DNA evidence and ancestry.com. We are currently looking at the good, bad and the ugly of DNA and DNA testing. She is amazing!
