Today, we as a nation mourn and celebrate the memories of those individuals lost during the terror attacks on September 11th, 2001. Those who perished because of these acts included mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, everyday people and first responders. (1 of 3)

We mourn the lives lost during Operation Enduring Freedom, our nation's response to the September 11th attacks. Having personally lost someone in Afghanistan, while they served in Operation Enduring Freedom, nine years after the attacks, I know how deep the pain cuts. (2 of 3)

So today my hope for this nation is that we mourn and remember those we have lost fondly with a smile in our hearts. May we all strive to love and respect one another all the days of our lives. (3 of 3)

Expanding Medicaid & funding community health centers and increasing access to quality, affordable healthcare- as well as mental health & substance abuse treatment and recovery services would be a good start to addressing these tragedies. #moleg

This is horrifying. 61 Missouri school districts that are so underfunded that they can't hold classes five days a week is 61 too many. Imagine what this does to those children, those working parents, all the businesses in those communities...

The #Shawnee once had a land grant in the 18th Century by the Spanish colonial government in #CapeGirardeau. Sadly, there are no recognized tribes in Missouri. Take time to learn the history and about how native peoples live today. #indigeneouspeoplesday shawnee-tribe.com/History.html

I am deeply saddened to hear of Rep. Cummings passing. He was a fierce fighter for his constituents and civil rights. His life was dedicated to creating a better. We are better as a country due to his actions. His unwavering integrity, wisdom, and strength will be missed.

Donald J. Trump A lynching? How dare Trump compare the impeachment inquiry to a lynching when he falsely accused the Central Park 5 of rape and paid the New York Times to publicly call for their brutal executions. That would’ve been a lynching, but I guess they just spent years in jail instead.
