Grabs his hand and lifts it to her lips, pressing a kiss against it, soon placing it on the side of her face. “What troubles you, my dear?”

She frowned and sat up on her elbow, shaking her head as she scoffed, soon sitting up all the way. Arms were folded over her knees, speaking over shoulder. “And if you chose neither? Both act like bickering children and don’t act as if they are grateful for your support.”

She sighed, knees lowering as she turned to face him, taking his hand in her own. “I know … I just—I don’t wish to lose you.” Her voice lowered to a whisper, eyes closed as she held his hand to her lips.

Lips pursed, jaw clenching as she rested her forehead against his own, eyes closing. She just enjoyed his presence for the moment, hand lifting to cup his cheek. “When do they expect you to make your decision?”

She fell silent at his words, thought a smile did make its way onto her lips, leaning into his hand with a hum. A slight glare was evident in her eyes, huffing as she met his gaze.”You already know my answer … but, I understand it is something that must be done.”

Lazily lounging within her warm bath, hands combing through her hair as she squeezed blood out. Hums to herself and reaches over for her glass of wine.

Promptly jumping onto his bed as a black cat. … curling up on top of his head.

Claws hook into his face as he sits up, yowling loudly as she went flying across the room. She hit the wall before sliding down—scrambling under his bed, shivering with wide eyes. Everything happened so fast.
