The first day of a three-day hackathon to promote innovative and creative concepts in mining communities. At the Sensi Tech Innovation hub, there were representatives from IFC Africa World Bank Africa BHP Foundation Directorate of Science, Technology & Innovation NMA, and other organizations.

Day two of a three-day MCIC hackathon. Participants were formed into teams based on their skills and gender balance. A total of 16 teams formed. Teams putting ideas together using technology and innovation to address challenges faced by mining communities.

The Team Growth Vision concept places a strong emphasis on empowering young people with disabilities in mining communities. By creating an online and offline platform that links handicapped youths to opportunities in their communities.

By offering on-site greenhouse training, establishing greenhouses in mining villages, and developing an online marketplace where farmers can sell their goods to consumers, Team Digital Agro Model seeks to lower unemployment rates in mining areas.
