Today was the last day of ESY! I loved my time getting to know and teach WeAreHTSD’s incoming kinders! What a change from HS but I truly enjoyed watching each of them grow this summer and have no doubt they are ready to take on Kindergarten✏️📚

Being a HS special ed teacher I try my best to help my students understand what is happening around them. Many children’s books are not “age appropriate” but then I found these! They are specifically designed for special ed & I cannot wait to share them in Sept WeAreHTSD

As we begin the school year, remember not all students have the same home. Not all students have the same resources. Not all students have 3 meals a day. Not all students have help at home. Not all students can make remote learning their #1 priority but they are trying their best
