Ahead of their geography and history learning on Roman Britain, Year 4 had their Brilliant Beginning this week. Children learned about the growth of the Empire, landmark buildings and the ferocious games that took place, also making code-breaking puzzles using Roman numerals.

Today Year 3 had their Brilliant Beginning day where they learnt more about Ancient Egypt. They dressed up as Ancient Egyptians, learnt about hieroglyphics, designed a sarcophagus and used their detective skills to find out about the deaths of people in Ancient Egyptian times.

Year 1 have enjoyed putting the finishing touches to their clay flower tiles created at our recent workshop. They have taken inspiration from the work of Georgia O'Keeffe.

Year 6 continued their topic of 'Understanding Light' in science by making their own periscopes today. They used their mathematical knowledge to adjust the angles of the mirrors to 45 degrees. #workingtogehter

As part of Careers Week, Year 3 were inspired by Eliza Gladstone who came in to talk to the children about her career working as an engineer for Jaguar Land Rover.
