2:02 pm 4/24/24: Crews are currently working a brush fire behind Mayfly/ Colorado Outdoors that started earlier this afternoon. MFPD, DFPC, and BLM crews will remain on scene throughout the day to continue monitoring this fire.

UPDATE: 4:15 pm 4/24/24: This is an ongoing incident that crews will continue to monitor throughout the night and into tomorrow. Expect to see smoke from this fire as crews work to extinguish areas in tough terrain.

🚨Active Fire: MFPD Firefighters are currently working an active fire on Spring Creek Mesa off of Niagara Rd. Please avoid this area.

🚨Incident Update: Firefighters have contained the fire and called control. No injuries were reported on this incident. Other agencies that assisted at the scene include the Olathe Fire Protection District and the Montrose County Sheriffs Department.
