Real trees > fake ones. While it may seem counterintuitive, cutting down a real Christmas tree every year is better for the environment than reusing a fake one for up to a decade. Remember, Christmas trees are smaller, and farmers rotate their selection to continue yearly sales.

DNRC Clearwater Unit plans to conduct pile burning today, Oct. 17, on state trust lands near Lost Prairie Road. These landing piles were generated from timber harvest on 74 acres of the Lost Elbow Timber Sale. Smoke may visible from Hwy 83 and 200 near Clearwater Junction.
