Late last year we posted some existing site photos of an exciting newbuild project, located just outside the greenbelt in an area of unique landscape character.   Therefore, we thought we’d share some of the initial massing options and the subsequent sketch proposal. 1/3

We are very happy to share that we have received planning permission for a project in Tulse Hill! The proposed rear extension provides the existing house with a rationalised floor plan, making it a better family home. 1/3 #zacmonroarchitects  #residentialdesign #homedesign

The extension allows space for a large open plan kitchen/living/dining space with improved connections to the rear garden. Our proposal creates an opening in the TV/living room space to maintain the visual connection to the south facing garden. 2/3  #design #opportunity

Due to the orientation, we are also proposing a bris soleil corten structure, with a series of horizontal blades to control the amount of sunlight and solar heat that enters the new extension. Watch this space for more updates on this exciting project… 3/3 #brissoleil #corten

Hope everyone's having a 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 Friday and enjoying the start of this beautiful bank holiday weekend. We've recieved planning for renovating an existing property in Wherwell & have now submitted an application for a newbuild house within its generous curtilage 1/3

The generous size of the plot allows for the comfortable subdivision of the site into two plots, still matching the rhythm of the surrounding plots in the area. The proposed 5 bedroom house has volumes that have a similar relationship to those of the existing. 2/3

Meanwhile, the ground floor of the new dwelling is highly permeable with generous openings bringing the outside in, and creating a strong connection to the garden on all sides. We look forward to sharing more as this project develops! 3/3 #wherwell #architecture #zma
