Loved Long Beach Grand Prix with racecar driver diabetes patient/friend Charlie Kimball. He even took me for a lap around the course!

On plane. Bad weather. Small plane. Ugh. But air wisconsin :-)

Diabetes--Charlie Kimball, my race car driving patient, will be racing in the Toyota Grand Prix in LB this weekend. I'll be there!

Learned a lot about diabetes and race car driving this weekend. Harder than it looks. Charlie is amazing.

Am flying in airplanes. Use hand sanitizer, carry N95 masks if someone nearby coughing and take Tamiflu if you get a fever to avoid flu.

Am at laker game. Sports events r odd. People with and without diabetes should be exercising, not watching.

In New Orleans for ADA meetings. Use of A1C >6.5% for diabetes diagnosis recommended. Seems reasonable. In lecture now.

Nothing terribly new at diabetes meetings. Progress slow. Rosiglitazone safe in Record study. FDA should rethink CVD concerns for DM drugs.
