A7 Page 35 states there are 56 steps to MTSS!!! I think you would need to give teachers TIME TIME TIME as in to do it during the PLC or other. Not put it on them and have them responsible for it. BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE A START - MORE NEEDED #VCSHappyKids

A8 We need options and model. There may be schoolwide, but there should be a why - and be willing to explain and offer that support. Again and again. Everyday is a good day to start over if needed. Invite them in, share what you have, go to their room, take notes. #VCSHappyKids

A2 Having a relationship helps, but de-escalation and reinforcing the positive or desired outcomes for sure. Repeating like a broken record and maybe, "I hear that you are saying/doing XYZ. We need to move forward with 123. Can you join us?" or something... #VCSHappyKids

A3 Students need to first have support to understand what the goal is and why they need behavior to support it. They may mean teaching why or what school behavior is and why we need it. Tell them what and why we expect it. #VCSHappyKids

A5 I think working with another teacher, or parent, or the student, it would be very good to focus on the fact that we need to remember to not only determine the why, but also REPLACEMENT. #VCSHappyKids

A6 Def sharing the data of the tool, getting the parent and any one that is an advocate for a student goes a long way. The "I hear you, and moving forward we want the student to succeed which will be great for the student as well as ..." #VCSHappyKids

A8 I would love to see the earlier discussed building level aspect shared with administrators. I would love for it to be a true part of the SEL initiative and have ALL take ownership - not just another serving on teacher plates. #VCSHappyKids
