Coming back as a cat next time!!!

This very handsome Gorilla was drawn on Pastelmat using Poychromos pencils. Size A4 The Re: photo was taken by @sarah_tuck_photography taken at zoobarcelona. I just loved this image of him/her, I wonder what are they thinking!!!!

Bichon frise. Fun & games with white fur, thought I would dive in the deep end with white fur with curls. White Pastelmat using Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran d’ache. This was a tutorial with Bonny Snowdon but I tried to draw by listening and not looking too much.

At long last my client has succeeded at getting a photo of Micky. Being a indoor cat he runs when the camera comes out. All in all it’s taken about 3 years to get photos of all her 3 cats that I could work, thank goodness she is over the moon with the drawings. Drafting film, A4.

Fluffy White Bunny, more fun and games drawing white on white. Using blues, pinks and creams it brings the picture alive if you are brave enough to add these colours. Drafting film, Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran d’ache Luminance. This was a tutorial with Bonny Snowdon.

Sea Turtle. Not drawn sea life before as busy with fluffy animals but so enjoyed drawing this. It was a challenge as so many different colours that needed to be just right with all the transitions, from light to dark, reds and browns to creams. Ref: Kris Mikael Krister.Unslash

Well what can I say about Mr Hippo….. he is big. I saw this from my friend Sarah Tuck who take fabulous photos of wildlife in different zoos around the UK. When she showed me this hippo, I just had to draw him. His name is Hodor and he lives with his mum Lola at Whipsnade zoo.
