For Women in History Month, we recognize women in ag. There are 1.2 million female producers in the U.S. That’s about 36 percent of the country’s 3.4 million producers. We thank the women of Helena for making an impact on our business every day! #HelenaPeople #AgMonth #WomeninAg

Surprising amount of growth out of some of the late april planted corn, thanks to the recent heat. Looking at the current forecast however, it may take awhile to grow through that last half inch.

Here’s a good article to read if you are concerned about your corn crop after the cold temps last night. My takeaway is although frost may have occurred I don’t believe it was cold enough for a killing freeze. agry.purdue.edu/ext/corn/news/… #frost21

Great article on the potential for double crop soybeans this year in Wisconsin. Also, be sure to look at the rotation interval for the herbicides used on your wheat crop. Orion is 9 months and Huskie is 4 months to soybeans. Dry conditions make herbicide persistence likely.

These are soybeans, mid June image showed how much more robust the beans were where the grower removed the residue. Not so much today, the tides have really turned.

Our 2021 WI #soybean herbicide tolerant trait comparison. No differences across platforms for pooled E3, LLGT27 or XtendFlex varieties. That's great news for WI farmers! Check out individual variety performances here: coolbean.info/wp-content/upl…

Just speculating here, but it probably wont be too long until we start hearing about “Enlist E3Xtend” or “XtendFlexE”! Next it will probably be “Enlist E3Xtend27” or “XtendFlexE27”. In other words, #corn 🤯

Little soil temp update in southern WI. These were all taken within 20’ of one another, right on crop line. Stark differences between what kind of soil exposure each spot had! Soil conditions are getting close to being dry enough in most spots #rootedin ⁦Golden Harvest Seeds

New paper by Nikola Arsenijevic et al. (2022): 1) reducing soybean row spacing enhanced waterhemp suppression. 2) soybean canopy completely suppressed late emerging waterhemp. 3) corn canopy did NOT provide complete suppression of late-established waterhemp. frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…

POST #waterhemp & grass control in #soybean with Liberty (glufosinate; group 10), Cobra (lactofen; group 14) & Flextar (fomesafen; group 14): ✅ Liberty mixed with group 14 resulted in better POST weed control ✅ Cobra-based POST treatments caused higher crop injury
