Today my daughter and I got on the highway. She said, "we just went in a complete circle." I responded that we went 360 degrees just to make a 90 degree turn. Where did the other 270 degrees go!? "Ugh, just stop mom!" #cohort7 #mtholyokemath

Did it ever bother anyone else that the phone people and calculator people never got together to arrange their keypads in a uniform way? What kinds of transformations would it take to make them the same? #mtholyokemath #cohort7

My daughter noticed that the traffic light fixture isn’t built at a 90 degree angle. We were trying to guess what the angle actually is and why it isn’t 90 degrees. Is there a civic engineering formula based on the length of the poles? So many questions...
