Racism and anti-Semitism on the rise (look it up). Did you know around 80 million people died in WWII alone? Do we teach in a way that confronts these hard truths and actually abolishes fear/hate/selfishness so that such a large loss of life actually never happens again?

Try this if you wanna put Canadian Residential Schools in context for young minds: Find a movie or show they love from 1996 and tell them THAT'S when the last one closed. Lots of my kiddos love Home Alone right now. Home Alone is older than the closure of RS. My class was like 🤯
