Q2: Does everyone make time in their schedule for outdoor learning, other than recess? How? Any tips and tricks to getting that hit of Vitamin D on the daily? #kinderchat

A2: I was working with a teacher who has an extremely active and spirited group. They love being outside. I suggested to her to bring a read aloud outside a few times a week to see how it goes. In nature, kids can fidget and move and perhaps listen more attentively. #kinderchat

Q3: Our new physical education & wellness curriculum in AB has a focus on Indigenous ways of knowing. Lots of connecting nature to culture and feelings in K. Are there some activities you do with your students to promote the Indigenous lens of how nature is valued? #kinderchat

A3: One of the Phys Ed and Wellness consultants and I worked on a lesson plan using this book, and it was WONDERFUL for Indigenous culture’s connections to the land. chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/books/pr… #kinderchat

Dear UCP Fans: If someone suddenly promised $330 mil for an arena, and $414 mil to transport students (but not teach them), but a school board will only receive about $110 mil in new funding to deal with increasingly complex kiddos, I'd have questions. Do YOU have questions?
