50% of the kids in care in Canada are Indigenous. They only make up about 8% of the child population. Currently, 91% of the kids in care in Manitoba are Indigenous. There are more Indigenous kids in care at this moment in Canada than in residential schools at their height.

Creator gave us the 7 Grandfather teachings in order to live in harmony with the Earth and each other and humanity keeps rejecting them. We need to live for the next 7 generations.

November 8 is #IndigenousVeteransDay. Many Indigenous soldiers voluntarily enfranchised to serve. They came home from both world wars to lost treaty rights, loss of community and continued racism despite their service. Today we remember their unique sacrifice.

We are not free, until everyone is free.
