If the class average is an F at _any_ educational institution, the failure in that classroom is the teacher. That's how covariance works. However, the department chair, the dean, and the institutional leadership _also_ failed and should also be held accountable. #highered

To all the “Little Latinas”… I can name countless #LatinaLeaders to look up to and Nury is NOT one of them. We have many principled, ethical, community-focused, amazing women doing great things. Let’s not lose sight of them - let’s hold each other accountable, grow, and heal.

It’s really worth thinking how many more there could have been with fairer transfer policy that recognizes that college faculty who work and teach at a community college are in fact _college faculty_, college faculty who often have far greater pedagogical training and experience.

The College Board AP flap is more than just folding to political pressure. It’s about how educators continue to support an organization that is clearly about revenue not students. The entire machine needs to be dismantled & we as educators can make that happen.

Reading & listening to the twisted responses from the College Board just make me chuckle & sigh. Absolutely no desire to take ownership. I don’t get why we outsource curriculum to this revenue hungry organization
