On this day in 1980, Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope. He would go on to run 5,373 km in 143 days, raising funds and awareness for cancer research that still continues to this day. Fox's legacy reminds us that a courageous person can change the world

Going to teach my students how to use this foreign object today. I actually really enjoy teaching striking/fielding games (ie baseball, cricket) bc they’re the games that my students know the least about. Thus, a ton of learning happens, and they grow an appreciation for them.

Continuing our striking/fielding unit with some Cricket today. I think if more people tried and played cricket, they would realize just how fun this game is.

Congrats to the Boys Intermediate basketball team after going 3-0 in the Notre Dame Invitational tournament round robin. The finals will take place next Friday. Big thanks to coach Ramdin and Cioffi for guiding the team to victory

And the Intermediate Chess team are the Brampton North East Champions! Congrats to the team and to their coach, Ms. Iafrate. They will represent our school at the Dufferin Peel Board Championships. Go Hawks!
