The LDSB Entrepreneurship Showcase, held at @queensuniversity, took place today where LDSB secondary students pitched their entrepreneurial ideas to local entrepreneurs who offered students constructive feedback.

An incredible first day with Loughborough Public School students as they experiment with coding their water pumps to record volume. Tomorrow will have them testing soil moisture levels as they slowly design and build their #microbit automated irrigation systems. Limestone District School Board #STEM

Day 2 had its challenges. Lots of problem solving by Loughborough Public School students! We used their amazing greenhouse to get soil moisture baselines, then into to the culinary space to experiment with soil saturation. It’s all coming together! Limestone District School Board #STEM

Day 3 had the Loughborough Public School students consolidating and graphing their data so they could make informed decisions on their code. Tomorrow starts the physical design process of their automated systems! Limestone District School Board #STEM

4 days wasn’t quite enough time for the Loughborough Public School students to complete their design, but it did create an opportunity to bring marketing strategies into their creative thinking as we wrap up on Monday!
