When students dysregulate and behave in unexpected ways, they are thinking with the emotional part of their brain at that moment. This is not a teachable moment. It is a time to connect, not correct. #LeadInclusion #EdChat #UDL #Inclusion #SEL

Today we celebrated Cinco De Mayo! We made piñatas, maracas, danced, did art, read a hilarious taco story, made tacos and smashed a piñata. Our piñata was full of alphabet letters that we traded in for a freezie! What a great day to end the week! King George School #learningtogether

Today we went on a neighbourhood quest to find out where our treasure chest was hidden. We also practiced being polite pirates with help from the story, “Are Pirates Polite?” by Artemis Roehrig and Corinne Demas. King George School #learningtogether

Our baby caterpillars finished going through metamorphosis and turned into adult butterflies. We watched them fly away this week. It was a magical experience. King George School #learningtogether

Today, my 7 month old son and I took a trip to the library! We've been reading together since before he was born. We have lots of books at home, but it's always nice to read new ones. #nevertoyoungtoread
