When asked my Gr. 2/3 friends say that what they miss most about being in school is seeing their friends. This week we have been working on letter writing so that we can reach out to those we miss. These are just a few of the amazing letters they have written ♥️ Parkview PS
Today at our teddy bear picnic we sorted our critters by size, counted how many critters belonged to each size category and created a graph with them! So much fun in kindie land today, well done friends! BobcaygeonPS
Our inquiry on eggs was a hit last week. We created egg geodes that had our inquiring minds wondering about how geodes are made and what creates the variation in crystal sizes and patterns. Such a neat experiment to try in Kindieland. BobcaygeonPS
Our probability fish tanks were a great way to get students using language like certain, impossible, possible and likely! Fun way to learn using goldfish crackers! BobcaygeonPS
We have been learning about our environment and the ways we can help protect it. Some great ideas and printing from our Senior Kindergarten friends! BobcaygeonPS #EarthDay2023 #earth #ReduceWaste

Pinecone exploration this week. Today we made bird feeders to hang in the Peace Park. The kids thought it was magic how the shortening made the seeds stick! Bucket filling activity 🥰 🌲🐦⬛🪶🌳 BobcaygeonPS
The kiddos loved participating in the gingerbread exchange learning about other students their age from different schools. Each gingerbread and letter were unique. With every letter we read we measured the distance from our school to theirs by car, walking or bike. BobcaygeonPS
Outdoor learning has been so much fun the last few weeks! Such incredible learning opportunities for our Grade 1 friends! A glimpse at the animal artifact geocaching and antler toss BobcaygeonPS
This week we have been learning about the sugar bush during outdoor learning BobcaygeonPS We were fortunate enough to have Brittany Taylor from Curve Lake First Nations come to speak to us and share her knowledge about the sugar bush and it’s history. We also tried tree tapping!
Outdoor learning this week has been focused around gardening. We have cleaned out some litter and debris from our garden beds, planted some flower seeds and created a bug hotel for our pollinators! BobcaygeonPS the gardens are looking very happy!
