Year 7 are really enjoying helping out with evaluating Crucial Crew 2022. Some great scores on the quiz so far. Discussing the importance of smoke alarms and this was the number that can be used to get those free alarms fitted.

Amazing Eco Meeting with 8 and 9 only today but plans for everyone including the Lower School to meet up soon. Thanks to Year 11 for showing us how much the new garden is helping meet our target for biodiversity. We are planning on doing more work on recycling levels.

Eco Secondary reps went to join Eco Primary at YBB today. Was lovely to see the planting they have been doing and do some litter picking to work on our action plan together. 👍🌎🌲

It's the big litter pick fortnight at Ysgol Bae Baglan. Thanks to all the many staff and pupils who have volunteered. Over 300 pupils have already been out this week. We hope to arrange some community litter picks soon. 👏🌎🚮

Really looking forward to an exciting, interactive, informative Wellbeing/Skills/PSE day Tues 18th July for Years 9&10. We have so much planned, everything from cooking with Navy, sessions with the Ospreys, Forest Schools in our new garden to Techno Camps with the University. 👍

This fortnight in PSE, years 7 and 8 are on the topic of Prejudice, Discrimination and Children's Rights, alongside RSE. Thank you so much to Miss Thomas for visiting year 7 lessons to do a Deaf Awareness session, pupils really enjoyed learning some practical skills 👍

Year 7 have been working on becoming ethical informed citizens by creating a display to raise awareness of prejudice and discrimination. They have produced some beautiful work. 👍✔

Year 7 working hard to advocate for others in PSE. After studying anti-bullying we are thinking about how charities support young people and what we can do to support others. Looking forward to Children in Need events next week 😊

Thanks to staff for donating and community for buying second hand games, books and toys at our Christmas Celebration. We raised money for our school garden, prevented plastic waste by reusing and helped others with the cost of Christmas. Well done HEAT. 😃
