I just had to share this american magazine advertisement from the 1970s (I think) celebrating wool. It's slightly baffling - the alley cat reference for example - but fab nonetheless. Im particularly loving the cardigan and pants on the left. Not sure w… ift.tt/2L3aPib

The cat purred. It radiated comfort, the rumble seeking sorrow and dissolving it. Shaken to bits. The resonance frequency of contentment.

my grandma’s dust sprite of a cat crawled into her fall bouquet basket and she asked me to “post him on the internet to see what kind of reaction he can get” so for grammy’s sake don’t let this flop! 🧡

Thinking about the time my mom crocheted a patch of grass so she could feed the horse statue on the street in their small California town. Happy Sunday.

"I relate to this but I don't know if its bad enough to have ADHD?" Does living hurt? If yes, reaching out and getting help is always a good idea. Life isn't supposed to be painful and a huge struggle. Just because you *survive* doesn't make it ok ✌️

We're so divorced from real labor costs, that when someone sees a garment priced to accurately reflect the value of the work put into it, they assume someone is trying to rip them off.

How cool is this beanie from Lee! I remember seeing it a bunch during last year's GAL. #giftalong2019 ravelry.com/patterns/libra…

When you see an indie designer w/ “outrageous” prices, what you’re actually seeing is clothing priced to cover a fair and decent wage.

Cora Harrington (@coracharrington) 's Twitter Profile Photo

People in my mentions talking about how “capitalism” is the only reason any item of clothing costs more than $50. Have you considered it’s exactly the opposite? That capitalism is the only reasons our clothes are cheaper than they’ve ever been in all of human history?

Cora Harrington (@coracharrington) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We underpay the people that make our clothes, move factories to places where the cost of living is low, and cut corners w/ design to bring the costs down. But yes, a clothing price that reflects a fair wage is the real evil here. Please move beyond the 101-level analysis.
