Today the lovely @CatherineWard0 visited our class for an author’s workshop with Year 2. It was an amazing morning and she kindly signed our copy of her book, The Emerald Forest🦧🌴🤩

Year 2 had a fantastic morning! @CatherineWard0 carried out an Author workshop. We began with an assembly where Catherine told us all about herself and her book, The Emerald Forest. We learnt about how the rainforests are being destroyed and things we can do help save it🦧🌴

Both classes then had a classroom session with Catherine, where we discovered lots of facts about orangutans and used these facts to play two games. We finished the session off with a draw along to draw our own baby orangutan🦧🌴
