Haven’t posted on this account but so happy to say in summer I got a job as a teaching assistant in a lovely Year 1 class. Had my first day in school yesterday and today I get to meet the children! ❤️ #teachingassistant #edutwitter

The replies in this thread make me happy. Unfortunately my sister’s school did not acknowledge our concerns which is why it took so long for her ASD diagnosis:( She masks so well in school but at home as soon as she can let it all out it can be unbearable💔

Had a really rough day at work yesterday but going to the gym last night cleared my head so much!! Never thought I’d by the type of person to go to the gym after work, I was always ‘too tired’ but it’s amazing how much energy I have after!

So so happy to say I’ve got a job as Year 1 ECT at my current school whilst my current teacher is on maternity leave🥺🤍

Well today is officially my first day as a Year 1 teacher!! No children in until Wednesday but all staff back today! I’m nervous but I’m so ready!
