P1D had great fun today playing with lentils and investigating different ways of pouring, scooping and measuring. It’s safe to say we made quite a mess on the floor by the end of the day! Who knew dried lentils could bounce?! #playbasedlearning Fernielea School

P1D have been having great fun exploring The Gruffalo this week! Today some children were retelling the story and then making up their own story using the characters. Fernielea School

We’ve been learning a song in class to help us remember the months of the year. Apologies to any parents listening to their child singing it on repeat over the weekend. I’ve been singing it at home too! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Primary 1 had a super time meeting their new teachers today! It’s such an exciting time ☺️

We got to release our butterflies today. Miss Dyker was starting to panic with it being so close to the holidays but today they were ready! 🦋 P1T and P2 joined us to watch them fly away. Fernielea School @munro_miss

So today I said goodbye to the school, the kids and the incredible team that have been a huge part of my life for the last 5 years. Many tears were cried today but I’m excited for the next chapter in Inverness. Thank you Fernielea School for being so fantastic!
