Interesting fact — Many thousands of people will descend on Nevada’s Black Rock Desert starting tomorrow for the annual week-long Burning Man Festival. The famous Burning Man takes place not much more than a few stone throws from the Hycroft Mine, in which AMC has a big stake.

Rumors still swirl about Cineworld/Regal. AMC is vastly different. AMC ended the most recent quarter with more than $1 billion of liquidity. Plus we believe AMC readily can raise equity. The best thing AMC can do for our shareholders is to continue to have ample cash.

My point of course is that I am an AMC shareholder. A really big shareholder. My incentives are to help shareholders, not to hurt them. If I hurt you, I hurt myself. Why would I want to do that? To the best of my ability, my plan is to make AMC stronger and get it to thrive.

Cineworld/Regal just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for its theatres in the U.S.and U.K. Fortunately, AMC is in a very, very different situation — because retail investors embraced us and let us raise boatloads of cash. Thank you to retail! You really did save AMC.

Disney and AMC do huge movie business together. And I have said for years that the consumer’s voracious quest for content allows both movie theatres and steamers to thrive. So I am thrilled that tens of millions of Disney+ subscribers now get perks — exclusively at AMC Theatres!
