One of our setups for our ‘l’ sound this week 🧱 We had suggestions of words written on the tuff tray to support us, but some chose to make common words, other words we knew, and even nonsense words which we could still sound out! 👏🏼🤩💭 #Play2Learn

Exploring addition and number bonds visually 🙌🏼 The children showed a great understanding of addends and the total amount through this simple set up. They loved moving the bears around to show the different ways of making the same total 🤩 #Play2Learn

P1 were learning to double numbers last week! Through our tuff tray activities, we had some great discussion and visualised what doubling actually looks like 🦋🪞 “All these doubles are even… even when we double odd numbers?!” 💭 #PlayIsTheWay #TuffTray #Play2Learn

Our Valentines themed tuff tray to consolidate knowledge of number 🥰😍 P1 enjoyed counting to 10 using magnets on ten frames, using tweezers to put the correct number of pom poms into the pots, or fixing the broken number bonds 💔❤️ #Play2Learn #TuffTrayActivities

It was lovely to see our new Primary 1s again today for our Teddy Bears Picnic🐻🧺☀️. The boys and girls enjoyed stories and games in our school tent, and Miss Edwards 🌻 Mrs Harvey and I can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow 🥰 #primary1transition
