✏️HIGHER COMMAND WORDS✏️ Spent some time today updating my Higher command word help cards to reflect student feedback from using them last year and also change my explanation of certain questions 💻 Also a bit of re-branding with my new school logo and colours 🎨

It's been great to use our new activity space, Gym 2, this week👏 The space can be used for 🏓 table tennis 🩰 dance 🤸‍♂️ gymnastics ✍️ theory Was great to have my Highers use it today, watching themselves back on the big screen to complete their General Observatuon Schedules⚽️

🏸S1 BADMINTON🏸 🖐👀 coordination 🤔 decision making We used our hand eye coordination to successfully play 2 different serves! We then had to decide what serve to use based on where our opponent was positioned🧍‍♀️ Battleships to practice🛳 Snap streak tournament🔥

My #pedagoofriday S1 pupil got upset & frustrated they couldn't play a serve in badminton (tennis player & struggling to transfer the skill over) Runs into the lesson today... "MISS! I told my Mum about last week & she got me a racket & I've been practicing all week!" 🥹🥹🥹

⭐️S1 have gone digital in PE with our iPads⭐️ 1M🤸‍♀️ filmed their 5 skill routines to check for good balance & control and used Teams to access idea cards for creating routines 1D🏸 used video video analysis through a simplified PAR sheet to check for & fix mistakes in serves

A wonderful afternoon with @SunflowerPHS class completing a sensory circuit 👏 ALERTING by bouncing on yoga balls then balancing when moving across a bench & jumping to spots⚠️ CONCENTRATING using motor skills to sort cones🔴🔵🟡 RELAXATION by performing yoga poses to calm🧘‍♂️

🏐S3 VOLLEYBALL🏐 Differentiation & adaptations have led to lots of success in volleyball👏 Beach balls slow the ball down & give a bigger target when playing volleys & digs🎯 Adapted throw, catch & self-feed rules have allowed pupils to play high quality competitive games🏆

So proud of these Newbattle Sport & Wellbeing pupils - missing my rugby kids🏉 🥹 Amazing that girls rugby is continuing to grow👏 2 girls playing who's words to me just 7 months ago were "I'm not doing that!" New strips looking smart! Maybe a future fashion career for us Jason Hendrie ?🤣

What a fantastic afternoon at the end of term Cross Country Ceilidh🎉 400 pupils and staff smiling and laughing while dancing together to celebrate the end of term and raise money for a good cause 👏
