Day of INSET done. My brain is mushy and tired.

First day back done 🎉🎉🎉 Disappointingly, none of my year 8 tutor group know what Crash Bandicoot is, but other than that, lovely to be back with the students.

First full week back in lessons is over. I'm teaching almost entirely boys this year, my first year 7 class in 5 years, lots of new texts and units. I'm having a blast so far!

Term finished! It's been pretty overwhelming and chaotic, but in a good way. Time to sleep for 3 days straight.

Today my y12 class brought cake and drinks, hid in the cupboard and surprised me with a mini-birthday party. After the minor heartattack of 6 y12 boys jumping out of a cupboard, it was absolutely adorable. Except for the '350' candles, cheeky things.
