7th grade did a great job creating our physical maps of the US! We are now experts on major natural landforms and are brainstorming how they might be important for shaping our nation and the people in it ! 🌎

Today our 7th grade archaeologists looked at artifacts from the Anasazi Tribe of the Southwest! They made great inferences about the lifestyle and culture of the Native Americans 🔍

Today our young historians analyzed primary & secondary source documents using the SCIM-C method to answer our essential question “Christopher Columbus: Hero or Villain?” We had a great post activity discussion about what (or WHO) we should celebrate this Monday!

What a moving performance by North Babylon UFSD High School production of “26 Pebbles”. Such a profound theme about coming together as a community! Loved getting to see my former students share this important message on the stage💙🐾

We used movement in our lesson about Push & Pull Factors of Immigration using a Scoot activity! Students ‘migrated’ from desk to desk to read the stories of several immigrants and record whether they found a push factor, pull factor, or both! #kinestheticlearning #scoot

This week students used hexagon puzzle builders to review for their test on immigration! Young historians were challenged to create connections about terms and ideas learned throughout the unit 🧩
