Attended a really good CPD session this week. Walked away with lots of great ideas and strategies on how to tackle reading in History. Strongly recommend! @HodderSchools

Really proud to share that I completed the subject leader development programme earlier this year. Even after years of middle leadership, there is still so much more to learn. Thank you Historical Assoc for providing such fantastic CPD opportunities.

We took our Year 11s to Thackray Museum this week. Our pupils got to see first hand how medicine changed over time. A great way to engage pupils in the GCSE Medicine scheme of work. Highly recommend. #historyteacher Thackray Museum of Medicine

Let’s celebrate the pioneering black women in the history of education. For me, it has to be Lavinya Stennett. She founded the Black Curriculum initiative to address the lack of Black British History in the UK educational curriculum. Game changer! #BlackHistoryMonth #WomenEd

Thank you to Step Up Education Mrs Ivory and @MrBHobbis for organising such a fantastic event yesterday. From the calibre of guest speakers to the key themes around leadership, it was a perfect way to spend a Saturday on CPD. Walked away feeling very inspired and motivated!

Humbled and overwhelmed by the love and appreciation shown by my Year 11s. For any doubters, we really do make a difference. Invest in PD, show passion for your subject and always be reflective. My go to experts Doug Lemov Tom Sherrington Paul Dix #teachers

Some lovely moments in my history lessons with pupils really engaging with their feedback. You can see the difference it makes to their confidence and the quality of their thinking. It really does matter. @AlexQuigley #HistoryTeacher #TeachingHistory #FeedbackMatters #EduTwitter
