From the first day of education to the last!

After teaching trampolining for the first time this half term, I think it’s now one of my favourite things to teach! 🤩

Things that have made me smile today🥹🫶🏼:

Finished my first full term as an ECT today and got to finish with some lessons of somersaults in trampolining with my year 10’s! I’m grateful to be part of such an amazing department 🥳

I had such a lovely email today from a fellow teacher saying how my year 7’s came to her lesson after mine absolutely buzzing about their lesson with me and how proud of themselves they were for their performance! It’s the little things like this that brighten my day🥹

Lovely day at Trent bridge today, so proud of the year 10 girls competing in the Nottinghamshire Cricket County finals 🥳🏏

Things I didn’t expect to do in my first year of teaching: Eat pigs heart and Ox tongue in a Bush tucker trial for Comic relief 🤢

Something that made me smile today:

This past week we’ve been to South Africa. Most of the time I spent pinching myself as the experience was truly unbelievable! I’m so proud of all the students, pushing themselves out of their comfort zone and meeting people from around the world! Something I will never forget 🇿🇦

Feel so emotional after todays leavers day for the year 11’s, what an absolutely unbelievable set of people. It’s so nice to see them into the next chapter of their lives but I’m really going to miss them all so much 🫶🏼

Lovely day yesterday with some of our year 9 leaders, helping to run the Trust school games athletics for Years 3/4/5/6 students. Today, I’ve had some amazing feedback from the schools organiser and one of the directors of the trust to say how impressed they were! Beyond proud!🥰
